A graduate of Bridgewater High School, Dr. Malik went on to become one of the youngest graduates from the University of Waterloo as a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Malik has been practicing as an Optometrist in Nova Scotia for more than 30 years. She is the founding partner of South Shore Eye Clinic, having started the practice in 1983, in the beautiful rural town of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Dr. Malik lives in Bridgewater with her family, husband Dr. Yves Levesque (Optometrist) and their three children and is actively involved in a variety of community activities and organizations.
Dr. André Lavandier
A graduate of the University of Montreal, Dr. Lavandier, originally from New Brunswick, has been practicing in Nova Scotia since 1994. He lives in Bridgewater with his wife Siobhan, who hails from the Annapolis Valley, and their two children. Dr. Lavandier is well versed in the Acadian culture of the Maritimes and can provide full service in French upon request.
Dr. Sally Dickinson Dr. Sally Dickinson was born in Halifax, NS and graduated from Armbrae Academy in 2009 before continuing her education at Dalhousie University. She received her Bachelor of Science with honours in neuroscience in 2013. She followed her interest in the visual sciences by pursuing a Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, graduating with honours in 2017. As part of her training, Dr. Dickinson did an ocular disease and therapeutics placement with Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami, Florida where she expanded her clinical knowledge on managing and treating many eye and systemic diseases. Dr. Dickinson is very pleased to return to her home in the Maritimes and join the South Shore Eye Clinic team as an associate. In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking and baking, travelling, reading, stand-up paddle boarding, and exploring the many beautiful beaches and hiking trails the east coast has to offer.
